Guests climbing the steps of a carved Balinese temple gate

Ubud sits in the green hills of central Bali, about 45 minutes from the beach at Sanur and 90 minutes from the airport. It has a long tradition of dance, craft and temple ceremony, and a quieter, more rural feel once you leave the main streets.

Our partner retreat centre is set on the edge of a river valley north of town. Rooms look out over palms and terraced fields, and the practice pavilion faces east for the sunrise.

Warm mornings, a deep local practice culture and Balinese teachers we have worked with for years make Ubud our home for longer yoga and meditation weeks.
