The Dolomites are a UNESCO World Heritage range in northeast Italy, known for pale limestone towers, long ridge walks and a well-kept network of mountain huts.

We stay at a family-run hotel in a quiet side valley in South Tyrol. It has a sauna, a drying room for boots and a kitchen that cooks local food from nearby farms.

A dense network of marked trails, reliable huts for lunch and a hotel that knows walkers make this the base for our hiking and photography weeks.
